EMBEDDED FIN
High conductivity fin tube for high temperature applications up to 450°C.
Embedded Fins have a helical groove formed in the tube surface with an uplift of
metal each side which, when peened back into the fin, produces a firm
mechanical bond.
|
|
EXTRUDED FIN
Integral fin tube produced by rolling and extruding from a thick wall
tube of aluminum or copper which is easily cold formed. Where internal
corrosion resistance is required the tube is rolled down on an inner sleeve
tube which provides excellent thermal conductivity between tubes. The sleeve
can be arranged to protrude at each end to facilitate fixing the headers.
Maximum operating temperature 250°C.

|
ROLLED LO-FIN
Integral fin tube produced by form rolling from a plain thick wall tube.
The rolling process forms a high strength fin with the plain ends remaining
in the original condition suitable for expanding, welding, or brazing into
headers. For shell and tube applications the outside diameter of the plain
ends is larger than the over fins.

"L" FIN
Economically produced fin tube for moderate working temperature up to 150°C. "L" fins rely on maximum surface contact between fin and tube which is
ensured by tension forming fin strip helically wound around the base tube. A
considerable degree of protection is given to the tube by the foot at the
base of the fin.
|
|
"LL" FIN
Double "L" fin is used on applications requiring additional protection to
the surface of the base tube. It is similarly produced to the foregoing "L"
fin, but has a wider fin base which is overlapped during the winding
process. Maximum operating temperature 175°C.

HELICAL SERRATED FIN
Our serrated fin is a metal strip which has been cut and performed to
provide a base flange which is then helically formed under tension around
the specified tube. The flange is fused to the tubular base by resistance
welding. The fused fin flange and tube contact area exceeds the cross
section area of the fin stock assuring a conducting heat path with a higher
heat transfer coefficient with strength and durability.
|
|
LONGITUDINAL FIN
Our longitudinal shaped fins are resistance welded to the outside of the tube
or pipe in
a parallel pattern.
|
|
HELICAL NON-SERRATED FIN
Our Solid fin, in the form of a metal strip, is helically wound around
the specified tube/pipe and continuously welded to the pipe or tube using the M.I.G. process.
